I wonder how the person who made the comment in the first place would have reacted had something similar happened in his/her setting? You can teach us all something about being reflective, I think! If you are treating the comment as a complaint and putting it in your complaints file, notify Ofsted as if you don't it can really affect your next Ofsted inspection. We found this out the hard way when we were inspected and what we logged wasn't even a complaint, just an issue a parent had raised that we had placed in the complaints file. We were told in no uncertain terms that all 'complaints' must be reported to Ofsted whatever they may be.
