Guest Posted September 26, 2009 Share Posted September 26, 2009 Hi, I am looking into ways to involve children in the planning of their learning but am not sure how to do this! Once we have observed them, etc, and decided on a mini topic, I want to use their input to plan what they want to learn about. In the past, I have tried asking them at the start of topics, but I don't seem to get very far - perhaps with one or two very able children, but the others never seemed to 'get it'! Maybe it was how I was going about it, I don't know... Anyway, I found this about Talking and Thinking Books on the Mindstretchers site, and wondered if anyone has used this idea or knows anything about it? http://www.mindstretchers.co.uk/articles/floorbooks.html Or does anyone use any other methods that work well in involving the children?
