Guest
Hi, please can someone help me with how you set out your literacy lessons in reception throughout the week? I'm curious to see how others do it and how you approach writing with Reception children. Thanks Jules

Guest
Hi Jules, try this web site, just click on the subject & specialist areas and follow the link to phonics. It's the literacy planning I'm following this year, hope it helps, Jackie.
Guest
Hi, I plan one focus CLLD day each week which will mean the focus for my group time that day will be based on CLLD and so will my main whole class time for the day. In addition to this we have a daily 30 mins phonic session. Also throughout the week I ensure there are literacy type activites out for the children to access freely too. Hope that makes sense? Guest
Thanks everybody for your replies. I have a 20min phonics session daily and then 4 planned Literacy lessons over the week where we have a different focus each day, e.g. s&l, reading and writing. I had a look at the Devon website, thank you. How/what are you planning for writing in the Autumn term...I have lots of opportunities for the children to write in Child Initiated, the writing area and role-play but just feeling I need examples of how others are doing writing as an adult focus.
