Guest cherylbetts
Hello everyone. We have a of max 25 children daily in our setting, 2 1/2 yrs to 4yrs. We have 3 toilets in the bathroom, they have Boy's on 1st door, Girl's on 2nd and Boys and Girl's on last (We have a separate disabled) - do we need to label each door or can we just have them all as Boy's and Girl's? Strange question I know, but when you have a line of girls busting to go and they won't "Because it says Boy's on the door" can cause a problem! Many thanks. AnonyMouse_13453
we don't have separate gender toilets - just make sure they don't wander in on each other

AnonyMouse_15046
I can't think of any reason to allocate particular toilets.

AnonyMouse_705
We also have three toilets which are available for boys and girls. Funnily enough in my last setting, we had two toilets and the children had decided amongst themselves that one toilet was for girls and one for boys owing to the different patterned toilets seats. When they were replaced we went for white toilet seats!
AnonyMouse_3448
We have 3 toilets, the children use any. What we do like to do though is make new numbers for the doors quite regularly - usually to go with the time of year or the theme in nursery. This always encourages lots of chat about 'what number are you in'? etc!!
AnonyMouse_20748
We are in a village hall we have use of the mens and ladies, currently we are boy heavy on some sessions so we are using the boys toilet when busy, but normally all use the girlies or disabled. All our children are escorted to toilet, when you need to go, you need to go!! Although we try not to use the boys for the girls as its not quite as nice
AnonyMouse_12805
We're in a church hall and have both ladies and gents toilets. Never use the gents (smelly) and all use the 3 ladies toilets fine.
AnonyMouse_20748
We are lucky our mens toilets are hardly used so not smelly I think we use them more than anyone! I have even used them when needed
