Safeguarding Children Policy

Guest

Recommended Posts

I have been asked to write a safeguarding policy especially for the reception classes (we have always had the whole school one up to now) and also an intimate care policy re changing children etc. Just wondered if anyone had one already which they were willing to share before I start writing!! thanks

Hi Caspar, I don't have an example to hand but I was wondering why you are being asked to have one separate from the school? usually any issues arising would have to be dealt with in the same way across the school and so it seems unusual to me to have your own.

Out of interest are there any other reception classes that have their own rather than be part of a whole school one? Perhaps it is more common than I think?

Because reception/FS is a seperate key stage SLT felt that it should have it's own policy because of issues such as changing them etc.
