AnonyMouse_2127 Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 A member of staff has just started her NVQ3 and is doing about H & S at the moment. She brought in part of her homework today - she is stuck on one question - so she thought she would "ask a friend". unfortunately none of her friends could help - can you help, please? She has answered all the questions on signs (fire exits, chemicals, corrosive materials, etc, etc,) but has got stuck on just one - it's the letter "e" or "E" - we have racked our brains but no-one knows the answer. We came up with a few silly ideas ........ I said I would come onto the FSF as some one here would know - can anyone help please??? Sue J

AnonyMouse_13453 Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Could capital be European Safety standard?
AnonyMouse_3735 Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 (edited) Could capital be European Safety standard? isnt that C E in that odd shape! Inge Edited October 19, 2009 by Inge
AnonyMouse_19782 Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I wonder how well it is printed, could it be a dodgy photocopy? The only E shape I can see is CE, which is the European Safety Standard, if it is in a square box it is a "safety" symbol, rather than hazard.
AnonyMouse_2127 Posted October 19, 2009 Author Posted October 19, 2009 Inge why did you edit your post? I looked on the site you highlighted but couldn't find what I was looking for!!!! Thanks for that - even though it has disappeared now I am going to go get something to eat now - I have spent too long on this and it's not even my homework - I'll pop back later and see if anyone has come up with anything. Thanks everyone Sue J

AnonyMouse_2732 Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Well, my first thought was 'e' as e numbers on food!! Too old for this!
Guest Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I would think its E for online safety, especially after the child protection problems??? Can't think it would be anything else.
AnonyMouse_705 Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Yes could be E-Safety, my daughter had a letter home from school about just that, about how children can protect themselves on the internet and about a campaign by the police's Child Exploitation and Online Protection unit (CEOP). From the head of E-Learning - so is that electronic?
AnonyMouse_2127 Posted October 19, 2009 Author Posted October 19, 2009 Thanks everyone - I'll take all your suggestions into work tomorrow. The NVQ3 "homework" has to be in by Wednesday evening - I'll let you know what the outcome is. Sue J
