AnonyMouse_705
Have found a rather lovely u-shaped bench for our outside area, trouble is the cost. £500 for the bench plus £200 to £400 for delivery/installation, see link below. This is quite a chunk out of our budget so I was wondering if you had any ideas or know of a stockist of something similar or can suggest an alternative perhaps? http://www.pendlewood.com/childrens-playgr...teller_161.html Thanks
AnonyMouse_5458
I went to Hampton Court garden show this year and there was a chap selling gorgeous benchs for children and i don't think they were as expensive as that. I'll try to find out who the supplier was and get back to you. Sam
AnonyMouse_1469
It IS lovely, but ouch! very expensive.Have you considered log seats instead?? ASk your local council/parish council/tree surgeon to let you know when they're felling trees and ask for the cuttings. We're in talks with our parish council to put a 'story ring' of logs ( rather like they have in Forest schools) down at the bottom of our park, at the edge of the trees. It will mean anyone can use them, but it will be lovely to go down there for story time
AnonyMouse_64
I wonder if you could adapt some tree benches to make something similar but much cheaper! http://www.greenfingers.com/superstore/pro...p;pf_id=LS3768D
