Letters And Sounds

Guest

Recommended Posts

Hi

We have started teaching the letters and sounds programme in our reception bases and I'm really enjoying planning, resourcing the 4 part phonic session. Anyone else doing it too? If so, any good ideas for quick ,pacy , all involved activities to do that work well..we haven't got any magnetic letters yet. Any oudoor ideas would be especially good.

Thanks :oxD

Hi there is a program called LCP phonics that we use. I am unsure where you access it and get the resource file from. I am not sure how much it is either. You install it to your computer and it has activities and games on it (linking to the Phases 1 to 6) as well as plans for phase 1 to phase 6.

It is fantastic to use - if you google it or talk to your literacy co-ordinator about this you may be able to get it in your school. :o

lots of good games and you can select which letters you want to use from each phase, or add you own.

I too have used loads of colour cartridges downloading the fabulous sparklebox apparatus, already sorted into phases.

We have also used sparklebox cvc pics and put them onto a homemade beebot baseboard, children turn up a cvc word, blend to read and proramme Beebot to travel to that pic - all good fun to keep them keen and eager!
