AnonyMouse_6361
Well with it being the Centenary year for girlguides 100 years. The brownie unit I am assistant leader for went to Keightly Worth Railway for a santa special train. We went has a district which was interesting. When we got there, we went for a quick look round the exibtion that there. Then we took all the brownies to the toliets. So during this time of taking the girls to the toliet. We got to meet the Chief Guide Guider! We kindly let her through to the toliet. Some of the adults noticed the camera man 'floating around'. Something interesting happened read on to find out! So we got on the train, the Chief Guide Guider sat with our unit! The girls saw santa and got a present. However a message came up the train to be told we are on the local ITV news tonight. OMG!!!!!!!! Watching the telly we found out that they filmed the Chief Guide Guider and which unit would be in the background? Ermm just our unit and we are very visable in the background! And yes I did record the news just incase I missed myself, since I did noticed them in the background but never realised that it was actually happening! lol What an afternoon I have had and I have very much enjoyed meeting the Chief Guide Guider. Brown Owl got the honors of sitting with her too. Beth
AnonyMouse_8466
What a great thing to happen for you and your unit Beth! Our centenary year is very special, but to share your celebrations with the Chief Guide is an honour indeed! Hope you got lots of pictures - but I'll look out for you in an upcoming Guiding magazine!
