Guest
Hi all My sister and her partner had their first baby last week - a gorgeous little boy. As a Christmas present for them i have taken a black and white photo of his feet and was going to mount it with a poem i had about following in parents footsteps However when i have read the poem it refers only to daddy's footsteps. Does anyone know of another poem which might be suitable Thanks Lola Edited December 11, 2009 by Guest
AnonyMouse_19782
Are they particularly religious the parents. There is a poem about footsteps on a beach, and something along the lines of when there were only one set of footprints to be seen that was when The Lord was carrying them during difficult times. can't remember it, as you can tell, but I know where I can get a copy! AnonyMouse_8466
Not sure whether you're looking for something profound or 'cute' but it did remind me of a thread about a poem for children leaving pre-school which was all about footsteps going through life. You might be able to adapt it... have a look at this thread here. I think this is such a lovely idea and a really original one. Good luck in finding just the right words to accompany the image! AnonyMouse_8466
There is a poem about footsteps on a beach I did wonder about this one too - here's a link to the text which gives copyright to Margaret Powers. Maz

It made me cry! but I think it says everything about being a good parent (and teacher!) Hope you like it NikkiMac
