Guest
After seeing the advert for The Gruffalo on Christmas Day, I was wondering if anyone has planned to watch it, even if there own children are all grown up
AnonyMouse_13453
Oh for sure - absolutely! Children now aged 25 and 22 are planning to watch it too!!
AnonyMouse_1195
I can't wait to see it, but will watch it on iplayer as Xmas day will be a non-TV day here as we will be so busy enjoying ourselves.
AnonyMouse_19782
Wouldn 't miss it for the world. We dramatised the Gruffalo as our end of term show in July - might pick up some hints for another time!!
AnonyMouse_3448
We used this story a lot last half term and did a simple display so I am hoping our children from Nursery will be watching too - I hope they join in with the repeated phrases - won't their parents be impressed and how excited will the children be to see someone they 'know'! And yes me and my family will be watching too!
Guest
I've bought all the little folk who we had to get gifts for a Gruffalo floor jigsaw long before I knew about the new film. I'm so chuffed as it will now be relevant and their adults who may not have known the Gruffalo will recognise it. Theres a new rhyming game due out in February so that maybe for Easter instead of eggs Roll on the film!!! gruffalo card game
AnonyMouse_2732
I have already booked my slot!! No one else in the family know it - children too old and husband refuses to listen to my 'recitations' - so they're in for a treat!! Sue Cards look good. AnonyMouse_6361
I ended up watching it! Very funny because I kept saying some of the words before they were said. I think my family were impressed that I knew some of the words! lol Beth

AnonyMouse_11485
We watched it all together - my parents, my granny, my husband and me, our 5 year old and 3 year old, my sister, her husband and their 3 year old - and we've all read it so much we all knew it off by heart! The Gruffalo had a very different voice to the one I use when I'm reading it - he cam across as quite suave and clever, whereas I make him really silly (so that he's not too scary!) It turns out that my sister uses exactly the same voice when she reads it! It was really great. Wish we'd recorded it. Duh...
