AnonyMouse_3401
Would a teacher in a school based Nursery need to do the EYPS if her PGCE was in a middle school or is it dependent upon which degree she did? S
AnonyMouse_4544
No. in fact a maintained school based teacher would be unable to qualify for EYPS
AnonyMouse_3401
Will she need to do any other training? Her degree is I think Science based and PGCE was in Middle school and is teaching in our Nursery.
AnonyMouse_4544
No she doesn't need any other qualification other than QTS but schools may be reluctant to employ someone without EY experience
AnonyMouse_3401
Even if she works in the nursery? I thought that by 2012 the qualification review stated everyone had to have a full and relevent qualification, I know the school staff working within the EYFS were okay with their QYS but I thought it was different for Nursery??
