Guest
Hi, We ran out of time at this week's planning meeting and I am now sitting at home trying to fill in the gaps. Have become quite stuck lately on ideas for outside. We have to go out for a distinct time on a grassy field and have to take anything with us that we want to use. At the moment the ground is wet so harder for them to sit down and play with equipment. What are other folks doing outside at the moment?
AnonyMouse_19782
We are keeping them off the grass at the moment because ours is so boggy. We are lucky to have the carpark to the side of the grass, so we are doing bird watching with the "lookers" they have been making (looker is a kitchen roll tube they have decorated) we have made bird seed cake etc. and we will be taking part in the RSPB bird count later this week. We have a 5 bar gate to the carpark which opens on to a main road so we do car surveys or discuss what's going past the nursery. We have a mini beast corner things like that really, we play what's the time Mr. Wolf, Please Mr. Crocodile -
Guest
Hi We have been using drain pipes and guttering- the children are interested in placing them at different heights in the holes on our climbing frame and whizzing a variety of plastic cars and trains (diferent sizes) down them. They've also been out 'decorating' the paving slabs in the rain with pots of powder paints!
