Guest Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 What assessment formats are people using for letters and sounds in foundation stage to record/keep track of pupil progress? Can anyone direct me to one they have found useful and workable? Many thanks!

Guest Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 hi, We assess phonic/grapheme recognition using the sheet found at the back of the letters and sounds document. Each child in the class has a sheet and we assess them each month. It doesnt take long, i have 30 children and takes an afternoon. We then also assess whether they can orally blend and segment etc just through day to day observations and group work. Hope that is of some help x
