Guest
Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone had any exciting ideas as to how to start a topic on weather? With all the diverse weather lately the children have enjoyed talking about what they have been doing out in the snow and so we thought we would take their lead and base some adult led activities on this theme. I really want something to get them excitied?????? Any ideas would be very appreciated.
AnonyMouse_3139
Weather charts? On a sunny day, draw chalk marks on the floor following the line a shadow makes and watch it move throughout the day. Wash some clothes and put them on a washing line when the predication is for frost, see how stiff they are in the morning. Put cardboard shapes on the ground to show where the frost touched. If it rains, put a tray of flour outside briefly to catch the rain, freeze it and then measure the size of the rain drops.
