AnonyMouse_13453
Has everyone heard of this except me? Did it replace the old DC2, and if I sent in a DC2, should I now send an EY2? can anyone help me with this? form_EY2_onscreen.doc
AnonyMouse_25331
Hi Cait, i think the answer to your question is yes, it did replace the DC2, Now each person needing a CRB check has to complete and return the EY2 (it is downloadable from OFSTED) and then OFSTED will send out the form to actually get the CRB disclosure. Me thinks they have just tried to complicate it!vv
AnonyMouse_13453
So if we're all already checked, we don't need to do it?
AnonyMouse_25331
No - shouldn't think so.... What made you think that you should??
AnonyMouse_3735
EY2 is for new committee members and change of person in day to to day charge of the setting... and only needed if/when they change... replaced DC2 when all changed to EYFS all other staff it is up to the setting to ensure they are appropriate person and do all checks needed, Inge
AnonyMouse_13453
because I've had a letter informing me that I'm to be audited and they want to see them, amongst the other documentation
AnonyMouse_3735
but EY2 is a form you fill in and send to O - not one you fill in and keep... we would not keep copies , and they are only for manager/ person in charge and committee members so not all staff.. and as you were there before they were introduced would not have needed to do one... AnonyMouse_13453
I'm glad that that's how you see it, because that's what I think too!! the letter clearly states that it's one of the things they want to see ..... bizarre
