Guest Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Hi everyone, I am trying to plan a summer trip for Nursery children based around our topic of 'Holidays'. I have tried contacting a local airport but currently they have suspended educational visits. I've also thought about going to a local pier and a visit to a lifeboat centre but this is thought not to be suitable for them either! I am stumped for ideas now. Help!
AnonyMouse_13453 Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 do you have a railway nearby, or a bus route? Some children never travel by bus any more and a ride on a bus is incredibly exciting for them. You'll need to think about the seatbelt issue I presume ....
AnonyMouse_13453 Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Is there a neighbouring preschool or nursery on this forum you could visit for a teddy bear's picnic?
Guest Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 We visit a local light miniature railway. Have you tried a google search for tourist attractions in your area?
Guest Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 http://www.kidsdaysout.co.uk/days_out_with_children_in_essex.htm Found this. I did a google search the other day, when you first posted and that came up with some useful looking sites, but I'm really sorry but I now can't remember what I googled. The link above is the only thing I've found today (that is if the link works!).

Guest Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 How about a camping holiday? Go to a country park and put up a few tents and have a picnic/BBQ. Get all the children to pack a bag before they go.
