AnonyMouse_705
Probably quite simple, but has anybody got an actual recipe for quantities etc for chocolate nests? Thanks
Guest
to make 10: 225g plain choclate 50g butter 2tblspns golden syrup 100g cornflakes 30 chocolate mini eggs melt chocolate, butter and syrup in a pan, add cornflakes and stir until coated (the cornflakes and the children usually!) divide mixture into 10 paper cases, make slight hollow in middle of each nest with the back of a teaspoon, add 3 mini eggs and leave to set - about an hour in the fridge. Guest
I use shredded wheat. It looks more 'twiggy'

Guest
We merrily tried making these with no recipe on monday. Nigella might not be worried and even the children looked a bit dubious! But we had perfected it by tuesday afternoon so not too bad really. Jane
AnonyMouse_3735
I have always just melted chocolate and put in enough shredded wheat so it is coated ... never had a recipe.. always worked.. Inge

Guest
Yes, that is what we thought. Not sure why it decided not to work but we did all enjoy eating what we created even if was not the traditional nest shape!
AnonyMouse_8466
even if was not the traditional nest shape! but then again the last thing you need with your Easter nests is to suffer a bout of fluffy duck syndrome... Maz
Guest
but then again the last thing you need with your Easter nests is to suffer a bout of fluffy duck syndrome... Maz I stick to cornflakes cos I don't like shredded wheat and it would be a pity not to be able to share........ Nona
