to make 10:

225g plain choclate

50g butter

2tblspns golden syrup

100g cornflakes

30 chocolate mini eggs

melt chocolate, butter and syrup in a pan, add cornflakes and stir until coated (the cornflakes and the children usually!)

divide mixture into 10 paper cases, make slight hollow in middle of each nest with the back of a teaspoon, add 3 mini eggs and leave to set - about an hour in the fridge.

I use shredded wheat. It looks more 'twiggy'

We merrily tried making these with no recipe on monday.

Nigella might not be worried and even the children looked a bit dubious!

But we had perfected it by tuesday afternoon so not too bad really.

Yes, that is what we thought. Not sure why it decided not to work but we did all enjoy eating what we created even if was not the traditional nest shape!
