Guest Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Hi Next term i am going to do space as a topic for the first time, but i am really struggling to think of any ideas for PSE (None at all at present) - i really hope some one can inspire me with some ideas. I am also short on ideas for PD at present i was thinking about moving like an astronaut to music (If i can find some) - not sure what else. Thanks in advance for any help.

Have a look at the story Beegu. It's about a baby alien who's lost on earth away from his mummy and about how he feels and what he thinks of people and they think of him. It's a good starter for lots of PSED chat.
AnonyMouse_13453 Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 We looked at Space a couple of years ago, and may be re-looking at it after Easter as I've a couple of boys who are really interested. I'll did out my old things - pre EYFS, but may be something we can use!

I've just bought Sea of Tranquillity by Mark Haddon which has a CD which includes music that might be useful
Guest Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 We have just done a circle time using The way back home by Oliver Jefferies. Lots of space music about from classical to pop. Don't forget space cowboy, David Bowie, star trek theme tune We have compared button moon and lunar jim too, its been fab and our universe display is amazing.
AnonyMouse_13453 Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 We asked children to work in pairs to build a rocket, that required a lot of negotiation and sharing,
