Happy Easter everyone.

When we go back after Easter I am planning on taking small groups of children to the local village park. This was a recommendation by Ofsted when they recently visited us, asking us to use the local community facilities. I have done a risk assessment for the walk to the park, using the stream, park equipment, park area and I have also had someone in to look for deadly plants!

Has anyone out their sent letters to parents explaining the purpose of nature walks, visiting parks etc and does anyone already have a planning or learning intentions for this activity that they could share with me?

During this holiday I will be catching up with all my paper work so would love to be on top of all my parents letters.

There are some plans on here for a walk, I will try to find them, but search the topic support bit while I do too! x

Dont have a learning intention, just go with and where the children lead,

when we go to the forest we go with no agenda and always come back with so much and i am always blown away with what the children have learnt and taught us
