Guest Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 I have been asked to give a workshop for years 1 and 2 on the use of code breakers in reception so they can use it next year. I have never done a workshop before and would be glad of some advice. Thanks
Guest Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Not sure I understand what you mean - code breakers? In reception?
AnonyMouse_79 Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Hi rocket, I'd do this by teaching a lesson/ session as if they were the children. Presumably you'll need to start at the beginning or fairly near it, although you could start by recapping info already learnt so that they have some skills to work with. Then you could explain how the system works and develops. You might want some handouts to refer to? Is there any support material on the website? Ive not worked with codebreakers myself, do you like it? Presumably you do! Codebreakers can be found at www.hamiltontrust.org.uk, its a synthetic phonics programme.
