Guest cathy m Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Hi Just wondering about updating yet more paperwork and thinking of using some sort of form for parents to add, commentss, suggestions, compliments etc. Does anyone else use them and what do you include? Thanks Cathy
AnonyMouse_64 Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 We used to just have cut up paper and a small box which no one used in any case! I'm sure someone else must have some.
AnonyMouse_2418 Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 We tried the box and paper idea , and as above very little response ( although the children liked it - they used to post little notes and pictures in it) So we now have a 'Good News' book which is out on the reception desk and gets passed around at events like the annual BBQ/ Graduation and parenst evenings - find the parents seem more willing to write comments in this and it's easier to hand to Mrs Ofsted when she arrives than lots if slips of paper.
AnonyMouse_12805 Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 We have in tried a suggestion/comments box - no one ever posted anything and a book- which nobody ever wrote in. So we just gave up then
AnonyMouse_25331 Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 we have a metal post box on the outside wall... where parents can post comments, suggestions... and we use a '2 stars and a wish' form which I think I got the idea from this forum - thanks to whoever suggested it first ! sorry I can't credit you personally. two_stars_and_a_wish.doc We do get some suggestions and compliments! but not many considering the number of parents. ~At least they are given the opportunity!
AnonyMouse_30147 Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Thank you for sharing the two stars and a wish idea - I like it and it is much less complicated than some of the forms we have. Our parents have just requested a shoebox for comments, no-one ever uses the comments book we currently have so it'll be interesting to see if the shoe box is used by anyone other than the children!
