Guest
Hi - still panicking about my interviews at the end of this week and trying to gain as much info as poss. Just wondering whether any other FSW's are employed by Action for Children? and if so how are you 'managed' within the Children's Centre - do you have a line manager within easy reach? AnonyMouse_73
I think that may depend on whether or not the children's centre itself is run by Action for Children or by the LA? If the centre is run by the LA, but Action for children provide the family support, then there may be something called an SLA (service level agreement) which will indicate how that service is provided, and this should contain things such as line management. On the other hand if Action for children run the centre, then you may be line managed by a teacher or by the centre manager dependent on their staffing structure. In short I don't think there's a definitive answer to that one! You can ask at the interview though!
Guest
Thanks Mundia - that explains things perfectly. The CC is managed by the LA and Action for Children provide the Family Support Service -( I do know that much ) I was wondering whether anyone else on here worked in a similar situation.
