AnonyMouse_12960
We used to use these http://www.nesarnold.co.uk/secondary-schoo...bags/?ev=search Now have bought proper book bags along the lines of these and the kids are sooooo proud of them http://www.hand-print.co.uk/school_book_bags.html That said I also "recycle" my Ocado bags for sending art work home!! AnonyMouse_25331
do you know about bookstart? I arranged to be a bookstart co-ordinator so have a supply of the bookstart book bags.... which I give to all our new children - and they then use them to take home a book from our library, paintings, newsletters, etc.

AnonyMouse_25331
forgot to add that the Bookstart+ bags are, of course, FREE!
AnonyMouse_3735
forgot to add that the Bookstart+ bags are, of course, FREE! Depends on the area you are in... They are given to each family once in our area and most have already had them before starting with the setting.. we had enough problems getting anything from bookstart in our area.. AnonyMouse_25331
maybe we're just lucky then . If a child has already been give a bag we ask them to use it for their pre-school book bag, if they haven't got one then we issue it (they have to sign to say they haven't already had one). We have 38 children on roll and now everyone of them uses their bookstart bag. Only trouble is that this year that have sent us all the same colour!
