Guest
Hi, Just wondering how everyone timetables for observations? We are thinking about 2 children per day as a focus, 5 mins 3 times. Thank you in advance ABC2009 xx
AnonyMouse_4562
Hi, We don't have a timetable as such - we have 2 children each to do each week (3 members of staff) for long observations (5-10 mins). All short obs are incidental. We feel that if it is too timetabled then the possibility is that you miss significant things because you are too focused on one child. Hope that helps Green Hippo x
Guest
Thanks Green Hippo, x Does anyone else have a different way to collect their obs?
AnonyMouse_25084
I just have 5 children a week, so any member of staff can do any of the 5 children when something significant comes up over the week and the adult then ticks their name off so the other members of staff know not to do that child. We do 10 minutes obs, 1 for each child per half term. x
