AnonyMouse_2821 Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Hi all. I feel that my setting is lacking in this area and wonderd if anyone has any fresh exciting ideas.I thought maybe an investigation box/area? Mmm not sure though. Looking forward to some great ideas as usual.
AnonyMouse_3139 Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Just the area playgroup have noticed a gap in so I'm going to be trawling the resource area for things might have missed in the past. I'm sure if I do a search there will be apst topics too.
AnonyMouse_13453 Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 melting chocolate button in their hand and melting ice cubes, playing with dissolving jelly cubes in a tub of warm water. Looking at what is waterproof and what isn't. Exploring magnetic things around the setting. Finding out about sharks and lions and tigers. Making our own fossils. Looking at floating and sinking - making a cork spaceman sink to the bottom so he bounces like he's on the moon and making a raft for a bear to go across the water tray without getting wet. Playing with raisins in a lemonade bottle. Looking at the solar system and finding out something about each planet........... er, that's it for this year I think. Bound to be more, but that's just off the top of my head
Guest Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Our wonderful new EYP made some blocks of ice with various things in them (one had leaves etc., another had foam numbers and letters, that kind of thing). She made them in those IKEA plastic trays and then tipped them out into a tuff spot and the children loved it!
