Autistic Spectrum Planning

Hello I was wondering if anyone had a planning sheet for planning sensory activities for children on the autistic spectrum that they would be willing to allow me to have a look at, I would be very grateful. Thank you very much.

I would think it very much depends on their specific requirements and what works for one will not necessarily work for another. I've had one child who was terrified of anything yellow and another who was totally fascinated by all things Thomas the Tank Engine. I think you are going to need to study your child and find out what their triggers are

Thank you but that is the problem Cait,if it was one or 2 children it would not be a problem. I work for the North East Autistic society and we have a range of children with different needs so the planning for some sessions needs to be broader as part of activities offered in an after school club. I do outreach work with the children and families and have been asked to do the planning for after school provision where I dont know the children enough to know what they enjoy. It is also about offering different experiences as well.

This was one of the books I looked at on Amazon. I liked it because it was very practical in terms of the experiences and activities, but also gave a fair bit of theory behind them, too.
