Guest
Just wondered if anyone else runs their mornings like this.... We do Literacy and Numeracy every morning, so right up until lunch time this is our focus everyday. There is no legal requirement for this to be the case as far as I am aware, wondered if anyone can shed any light on it?? Anyone think this is too much Lit and Num? Hard to fit so much in in a day isnt it? xxxxx
Guest Pebble123
I would find that a bit much to be honest, especially at this time of the year ! Do you mean you are working with a group doing literacy and maths whilst the others are CI or that they are all doing just literacy or numeracy activities all morning ? Guest
The daily/weekly recommendations are 1 x guided read or write per week, daily phonics (20 mins) daily shared write and daily mental maths! Everything else is how you decide to implement it. Vicki

Guest
In Foundation 2 we do Letters and Sounds on four mornings about 9.40am for about 10-15 minutes at the moment. Then they do Number Time before lunch for about 10-15 minutes as well.
