Guest Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 I bit on a peice of thread today and never guess what, a quarter ( the corner) of my front tooth fell off It looks awful and is really sharp. Off to the dentist on Monday( 1st day back at preschool, lucky i've got a good team who don't always need me). Still, thank god it didn't happen last Saturday for the wedding. See there is something positive in everything. I'll have to have chinese instead of steak tonight, and some medicinal Rum ( to stop the pain of course). Peggy Quote
AnonyMouse_3139 Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 I know all about that medicinal rum for painful teeth Peggy. I actually got a little drunk one night just by dabbing it on a little at a time and eventually HAD to go the dentists to avoid regular hangovers Hope the whole procedure is painless and inexpensive Quote
AnonyMouse_1027 Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 Dont believe that Rea!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh dear peggy your in good company we are having chinky also ..hope it all ok for monday.. Quote
Guest Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 Thanks you two, Rea it's the cost that stopped me from contacting the "emergency" dentist today. I thever (oops pronounciation gone now) , I mean never thought of dabbing in on, does it work behind your ears as well, ( spend a fortune on Organza). With chopsticks Hali?? Peggy Quote
AnonyMouse_1027 Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 definatly chopsticks ..rather swallow than (the alcohol that is) than dab behind ears though Quote
AnonyMouse_73 Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 Clove oil Peggy is what you need for the tooth. Dont think it numbs the senses but it definately works on teeth!! Quote
Guest Posted April 2, 2005 Posted April 2, 2005 My sympathies, Peggy: I think there's no pain worse than toothache. Added to that, I have a terrible dentist dread (that's technically a fear of terrible dentists) which I have to control in the interests of not passing on my weaknesses to my children... Maz Quote
Guest Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Thanks for all your advice. Got to dentist today ( he's a new one, quite dishy, but don't tell my hubby I said that!!). Anyway, 15 mins and £15 later, he rebuilt the tooth, looks as good as new and all the children at preschool today, got a very graffic example for not eating too many sweets and to clean their teeth every day. (wish my mum & dad had made me when I was little ) Mmmmmm, what reason do I need now for a tipple Peggy Quote
AnonyMouse_3139 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 You could always celebrate with the excuse that if it hadnt happened the children wouldnt of had such a wonderful learning experience Peggy. Quote
