National Day Care Standards?

Am i right in thinking it should be Statutory framework and not National Day Care Standards???

 

Committe have emailed me policies and just checking through them

Yes your right - its now the Statutory Framework , well spotted Hopefully it's in Word and saved so they or you can just change it easily ?

But why are your committee writing your policies ? Wouldn't it make more sense if you and your staff wrote them - or had a hand in what goes into them, they are your documents that you work to not the committees

As the employers and the registered people the committee have to do the policies. The staff can have a say and their input is often invaluable if the committee dont undertsand childcare and all its regulations, but basically its down to them.

Don't worry I have had a major say in them and so have my staff. I have the final policies to go through and amend which is what I am currently doing.

I have to say that when I was a charity, the committee left everything to me. i don't even know, as I inherited the charity if they had ever seen the policies. I would have thought that it was more common to have a committee who dno't know precise requirements, or indeed anything about the actual business of childcare.
