Guest
Hello does anyone still plan separately for weekly P.E. sessions? My planning it taking forever to start with. Just wondered whether anyone else still taught P.E or do the children get their Physical Education entitlement through the daily access to the outdoor area? Thanks Gina
Guest
We have 2 P.E. lessons a week in Reception - one is written in the normal week's planning but the other one has a discrete lesson plan as it is taken by the PPA teacher. This plan has the same format every week with all of the learning objectives for the term/year already in place so it only takes a short time to fill in the main dance lesson ideas - the dance theme for each week is child-initiated. Even though the children get lots of physical play during the week, we think it is important to have structured lessons as well to teach ball skills, dance, gymnastic skills etc
Guest
Hi Gina, My school requires me to teach two "proper" PE lessons a week! For one, we use the "Let's Move" BBC Cds and for the other, I take ideas from Val Sabin
