:oxD:(:( My new grandson was born at 4.24am today, 8lb 15ozs and is named Eoin Robert Sutherland ( first name is pronounced Owen). I've already seen photos thanks to Blackberry, GORGEOUS baby..........and they had a police escort to the hospital, as my son was clocked doing 40 mph in a 30 ( very bad of him, but his wife has very quick labours). Off for a big cuddling session this afternoon !!

Congratulations on your new addition. I'm sure I'm not the only one would like to know more about the police involvement-their faces when they realised it was a woman in labour and is he in trouble??

sorry not to have updated this! So: Eoin is absolutely beautiful..................I wept when i was cuddling him, an absolute joy.

Police had followed my son for a short while, then pulled him over......................they ordered matt to get out and asked for licence etc, so Matt explained, quickly, what was going on........in the meantime, Lisa had staggered out of the car, huffing and puffing, so they ordered her back in, told matt to 'go easy, but put your foot down and follow us'..then they shot off towards the hospital! When they all arrived, they rang the night bell for matt, took Lisa's bag and then escorted both of them through to delivery suite before wishing them good luck and leaving them to it. Lovely, eh?? so no, no problems for Matt xx
