Guest
Hi all, I have decided to do a whole school display of hands, using every child in the school. These will just be cut out of coloured paper and displayed as peacocks tails.( Smaller peacocks for foundation sized hands, larger as we go up school stages.) We are then going to make the peacocks bodies using Modroc and glue bright lining silk over them etc. What I need to find are some quotes, verses or ANYTHING related to hands. Kind of along the lines of all working together etc: If anyone has anything can you post them? I hope this makes sense thanks

AnonyMouse_3735
Ask the children how they have helped someone and then write it on to make helping hands. inge
AnonyMouse_2760
What a lovely idea! I think I can help here hopefully. http://www.canteach.ca/elementary/songspoems28.html I have used and adapted some of these poems of this website and some are especially about hands. For example: This is my hand. My hand will do A 1000 loving things for you And you will remember When I am tall... That once my hand Was just this small. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the hand You used to hold When I was only four years old. At christmas time the children make 'holly' wreaths out of green handprints and i attatched the following verse: I especially like this one although not about hands might work well: Glad to Be Me! Sometimes I wish I was someone else, but mostly I’m glad I’m ME! We all have our likes and differences as everyone can see. Some of us like to hurry, some like to take our time. Some spend all their money, some save each dime. Some are good at English; some are good at math. Some of us like showers some prefer the bath. Some of us are quiet; some of us are loud. Some of us like to be alone; some of us like a crowd. Some of us are tall; some of us are short. Some like to play an instrument, some like to play a sport. Some of us are black or brown, and some of us are white. Some of us leave the light on when we go to bed at night. All of us are special as everyone can see, You like you, and I like you, but also I like ME! Once again credit to the can teach website for these poems Michaelle x
