Guest
hi, got an email from an organisation today about using recyclable materials to raise cash for your school/nursery. Has anyone heard of it or had experience of it b4 I think about signing up? here is the link kizzy xx
Guest
Hi Kizzy We did think of doing this sort of scheme with a local company who sell re-filled ink cartridges. They give you a box to collect the cartridges in, and pay you for the ones they can re-fill (once they've been checked/inspected). We decided against on the grounds that we would need somewhere to keep the box (and we have to pack away at the end of each session!), and also that not all ink cartridges can be recycled. So all in all it would be a lot of hassle for us to take part, with not very much money raised. In principle though, it sounds a good way to raise funds - and help the environment too. It would be great to get the children involved, too. I'd be interested to hear whether you decide to go for it or not, and how you get on! AnonyMouse_64
Our local school does something like this too - not sure if it's the same thing though. I'm afraid I don't know how sucessful it is - sorry.

Guest
We use that cartridge/mobile phone recycling facility. When your box is fairly full, they arrange for free collection and bring another box. I think we have accrued £40 or so with them over the last couple of years. Reminds me, I must claim it back... Marie
