Guest
Can anyone please give me advice stuck on a question . GIVE AN EXPLANATION OF HOW TO EVALUATE AND PRESENT INFORMATION FROM DIFFERENT TYPES OF SOURCES.WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO DISTINUISH BETWEEN EVIDENCE THAT HAS BEEN DIRECTLY OBSERVED , EVIDENCE THAT HAS COME FROM A RELIABLE SOURSE, OPINION AND HEARSAY? Thank you
AnonyMouse_64
First you need to think about the different sources here anne. What do you think is the difference between you actually seeing evidence of abuse (direct observation), a colleague telling you that she has seen evidence (reliable source), a colleague telling you that the bruises she has observed are obviously signs of abuse even thought they could equally have a innocent explanation (opinion) and a parent telling you that they have heard from someone else that....(hearsay). How will you react to each of these situations in terms of how you record the information and the steps you take as a consequence?

AnonyMouse_64
Anne, Glad you've managed to write something! This is a difficult unit but one that is important to get right. Most of it is common sense - the hard bit is making sense of the NVQ speak.
