Guest
Hi I know it is early in the term but we are starting to think about September and our new entrants. We would really like to change the way we do our meetings to parents and possibly have some new ideas for the activities the children do. We currently have a parent meeting where we talk to the parents about routines and starting times and the parents then look around the classrooms. I feel that this is all a bit formal now and would like it be a more relaxed occasion for teachers and parents. The children are then invited to the reception class assembly, a teddy bear picnic with parents and some story time sessions where the parents sit in a next door room so that the children know that they are not far away. In September we have 1:1 meetings with the parents and the child and then we have some sort of staggered start. We would really like to know if any body does anything different and more exciting! All ideas welcome! Thank you Becs
