After School Club Council

Hi all,

Does anybody have a childrens council within their club?

If so would you mind sharing how it is run and the benefits .

We are thinking of setting one up within our After School Club.

I facilitated the school council when I was a HLTA. I really enjoyed it and feel that children given a voice use it productively and responsibly. We just had junior children as in the past the infant children were not able to participate at the right level, although they were very proud to be a part of the council.

 

How is your ASC run - committee or staff etc. The choucil could be a part of team meetings.
