Guest
Hi I have to plan and produce a dance lesson that develop imagination and creativity for a group of 4-5 year olds. Our topic is shops/shopping and food/farming. Can anybody help. I was originally going to do the toyshop let move from the bbc but I can get the cassette through in time. I do have a nursery rhyme for a toy shop but I'm not sure how to build on this...any suggestions would be grateful Mand
Guest
We do music and movement sessions based on puppets, robots and Jack in the box. Do you have Musical Express for the FS?

Guest
We do music and movement sessions based on puppets, robots and Jack in the box. Do you have Musical Express for the FS? 30591[/snapback] It's a book of musical activities - the one you need is for the Foundation stage. Our local Ottakars book shop sells it and I'm sure other high street book shops probably do too. It contains 2 CDs of music and the activities are all linked to aspects of the elgs. We use it for music lessons and for dance (but we don't rely on it exclusively). It has a lovely activity based on shopping (can't give explicit details as the book is at school) along the lines of shopping for tins of beans, shopping for apples etc, which is then built upon to make a "shopping for sounds" activity. Really good for getting the children to think about the sounds instruments make or for picking the right instrument to match a given description of a sound. - Sorry, doesn't really help you with your dance lesson!
