Guest
I need help please im a student and i need to plan activities for a group of children in primary one in connection with the jungle. For the world around us i was going to get them to make musical instruments based upon noises they would hear in the jungle does this sound ok. Is there any websites than give activity ideas for the areas of learning?

SueFinanceManager
I love 'Monkey Puzzle' by Julia Donaldson Lost little monkey trying to find mum, here is a taster; “I’ve lost my mum!” “Hush, little monkey, don’t you cry, I’ll help you find her,” said Butterfly. Great rhyming for a CLL activity as the butterfly tries to help find the monkeys mum.....get to see all the creatures that live in the jungle
Guest
Another book you could use is Walking Through The Jungle (can't think of author - possibly Julie something). 'Walking through the jungle what do I see? I see a snake hissing at me. Children could then choose instruments which they think would represent the sound. Make into own story - Walking through the jungle, what do I hear? I hear a snake ...........' and play instrument.
