Guest
Hi we are being moderated next week and I'm worried about role play provision. Can I just leave out hte Gingerbread role play as it is a big hit! or should I do something to do with Easter, or a farm for new life etc... but I've been trying to do a deconstructed role play so don't want it too resource intense BUT need to show provision for mark making and PSRN. ... HELP! Not a church school so not sure how far to take Easter either. Tks
Guest LornaW
I'd leave out what they are using and just make sure you have lots of mark making and psrn opportunities as I am sure you have! You shouldn't need to change what is working for moderation it should be about agreeing judgements! Lorna
Guest
Trust your gut instinct. If it's working well, and the children are enjoying, look at how you can extend it. Refer back to the story - what is there in it that might extend mark making/PSRN - can they get a biscuit over the water tray without getting wet? Or a great one - the dunking biscuit test - doing timed measurements of how long different biscuits take to get soggy.
