Guest Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 I'm being observed on Friday, 27th May, as part of an interview for the post of Nursery Teacher. I need to plan and deliver an adult-led session on teaching the phonics sound 'h'. I really want to make it good! Any ideas gratefully received!! Thanks
AnonyMouse_29641 Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 My boy's nursery teacher always takes her 'h'ens in in 'h' week. Always a 'h'it! And welcome - the moderators and gardeners will be here to say so properly very soon. 'H'oney
Helen Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 How big is the group? Can you sing "If you're HAPPY and you know it"?
AnonyMouse_32261 Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 We've been doing sounds in my setting. We have a basket on which we attach the letter we are concentrating on and then fill it with lots of different items begining with that letter. We move onto tounge twisters using that sound. can you not use an activity from the letters and sounds book??? Nimatel
AnonyMouse_25084 Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Lots of hopping! "I like to hop, hop, hop!" (jolly phonics song) is a real hit! x
