Guest Posted May 14, 2005 Posted May 14, 2005 Can any of you folk help - I was told a 2nd verse to Humpty Dumpty ( last year - by a child) which I have been trying to remember since this September time.. and failing - it goes something like this 1st verse as normal 2nd verse - So off they went to Nursery Rhyme land to get some magic glue .......................................................... and Humpty Dumpty too. I thought this site might just be able to help with all that experience and knowledge out there! Any suggestions will be greatfully recived as I'm driving myself and every child I taught last year mad ! We all knew it at the time !

Guest Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 This is the version I know: Humpty Dumpty sat on the ground Humpty Dumpty looked all around gone were the chimneys, gone were the rooves all he could see were buckles and hooves. Humpty Dumpty counted to 10 then Humpty Dumpty got up again all the Kings horses and all the King's men were pleased to see Humpty together again did I say "rooves" agghh I meant roofs surely!! Thinking of hooves, so sorry!!
AnonyMouse_2127 Posted May 15, 2005 Posted May 15, 2005 Judith, I love the second verse, with 'rooves' - I know the 3rd one, we already sing that one. Will add your one in the middle tomorrow. Sue J
Guest Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Another one.. Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall Humpty Dumpty had a great fall All the king's horses and all the king's men Couldn't put Humpty together again They picked him up and put him to bed Poor Humpty had a hole in his head They went to the shop to buy him a wig And Humpty Dumpty danced a jig.
