Guest
Hi everyone, We are going with the theme 'horses' after half term (not 'farms' as this is coming up later to coincide with our class visit to a farm) - have a few ideas but now a bit stuck! All ideas and suggestions welcome. Thank you.
AnonyMouse_19782
Last time we went horsey, we made stables, we had out the my little ponies and groomed them, we were given some horse shoes to play with so we set up a quoits sort of game outside. the old coconut shells banged together for clip clop sounds, we had a couple of hobby horses the children could use, we had horse racing (we have two very simple see saws from IKEA but if they can scoot them along as well they can race, we also laid out skipping ropes on the grass for them to have to jump over and race, or put round each other's waists and use as reins (that has to be watched though because they can hurt each other). Plus the usual pictures of horses to cut up etc. It would be lovely if you were rural, then you might be able to arrange a visit from someone and their horse. Pin the tail on the horse. in fact, we had one little girl so into horses we had a picture of a horse and she would point out what all the parts were called.
