Guest Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 Hi, i am the leader in a Pre-School with mainly 2 yr old children.Does anyone know a song I can sing which will introduce names ie;giong around in a circle or saying a childs name at a particular place.I am sure that i know one but just cannot remember it.
Steve Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 Hi Gaynor - The song they sing in our pre-school, which always sounds great and is quite repetitive and easy is Say Hello. Um. I'm not sure how to hum a tune in a forum, but you've probably heard it being done before - it goes: Say hello, hello Say hello, hello Say hello, hello Say hello, hello Then each child in turn: Hello Annie, hello Hello Annie, hello Helllo Annie, hello Hello Annie, hello (Next child all the way round the circle - can wave at each of them in turn if you like) If you can't bring to mind the tune, get back to me and I'll find some notes for you or something. Steve. PS - Nice to have you back online!
Guest Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 Hi, a nice song that I use is one that I made up. It is sung to the tune of 'happy birthday to you' and goes like this. Hello 'Rosie' hello, hello 'Rosie' hello, lets all smile at 'Rosie' hello 'Rosie' hello. You could equally say, 'let's all wave at Rosie' etc. this encourages the other children to acknowledge the child as well as you. Making up songs is so easy, especially if you use tunes that you and the children are familiar with. Try it!
Guest Posted September 17, 2003 Posted September 17, 2003 thanks for that.I know that I know one too,but at the beginning of term things are still a little hectic.I will try these today.
