Guest Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Hi I'm trying to figure out what to do to keep children safe around the greenhouse. Any suggestions?
AnonyMouse_33615 Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 I had to fence mine off when I was a childminder.
AnonyMouse_13453 Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 You can get a perspex-type of 'glass' which is quite good, although it does go cloudy eventually
Guest Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 You could replace your greenhouse with an eco-friendly and safe plastic bottle one http://www.makingyourown.co.uk/make-your-o...greenhouse.html
Guest Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 It is glass and I am renting so unfortunately can't replace it. I think I will have to fence it off. Suggestions on affordable and easy to build fencing? Is it real glass?

Suggestions on affordable and easy to build fencing? When I needed to fence I decided on a narrow square lattice. I made sure the horizontals were on the unsafe side and the 'rungs' were narrow enough not to get a foot into. Looked very nice too. You could also cover the glass in safety film but would be a real hassle and would cost a lot to do such a large area. Cheers, Honey
