Guest
On a lighter note! How can I make hundreds and thousands for the ice cream parlour this week? I thought about dying rice but will it go soggy? I don't think google understand what I mean!!!!
AnonyMouse_8466
We've coloured uncooked rice with food colouring and let it dry, and it hasn't gone soggy (well not unless it has been left in the glue!). Don't suppose you have one of those comb binding machines or know someone who has? They make excellent little rectangles of paper, great for confetti, or in this case, oversized hundreds of thousands! Google can be a bit dense at times. We need an option under the 'more' option called "Everything Early Years"!
Guest
Right then! Will give it a go, suppose I could use the shredded paper and cut across if all else fails. Thanks maz x
AnonyMouse_8466
Remember next time and I'll send you a batch of my punchings! They're called chads, I think. Or is that the hole that's left behind?
AnonyMouse_11396
We have made coloured rice before. Mix with food colouring, then pop it in a low oven to dry out. Have fun.

Guest
Thank you all, I had a play and ended up with cous cous sprinkles! Just a dash of coulouring, a good mix and left on a tray to dry, have also added pepermint and vanilla. xxx
