Senco Training

Hi Peeps

 

I have just taken on the role of SENCO to cover MAT leave. I have had experience as I was a liitle boys Key Person who had celebral palsy. I had to fill in IEPs and document evidence etc. I loved it. Now I am taking on the main role of SENCO and would like to do training so I can meet the requirments of my new role. I know that local councils do half or full day courses but they dont seem to be much (thats what i have heard from other collegue)

 

Does anyone know where I can find training in this field whether its online or at college. I am in the Cheshire Area

It is a statutory requirement within the EYFS that there is a named Senco within any provision.

I would suggest you make contact with your Area Senco team whom can advise on local courses to enable you to complete the core training.
