Total Lunar Eclipse

Tomorrow is the first of two lunar eclipses this year (next one December). It starts at moonrise around 9.15 ish so it might not be dark enough to see very much, but have a peek anyway, Ill be hoping for clear skies anyway.

The first one I ever saw was about 30 years ago but it was a mystery to me. I had no idea why the moon was so red. Its also the best one I ever saw.

Very cloudy here. In fact we have had the most tremendous downpour and rivers are running down the streets, so I'm not holding out much hope of a clear night.

Rubbish view here - thought might have seen something through odd break in the clouds but just too far north to be dark enough. Looked good in the Canary Islands - as viewed online.
