AnonyMouse_64 Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 Listen and learn Never settle for less than your best Be the best you can be I think I can, I know I can The more we practice the better we get Good, better, best, Never let it rest, Until the good is better, And the better is BEST! None of them my ideas - all pinched from American sites!!!
Guest Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 Ours is 'Reach for the stars ' .... a bit cheesy I know but the children love it and we say it in a daft, energetic way when we talk about always doing our best and our class motto. We have it written up high in the classroom in bright yellow, large letters, with foil and yellow stars surrounding it and pictures from clip art of children literally reaching for the stars. We've got into affiramtions a bit this year and have found having inspirational phrases dotted around everywhere are useful to refer to and help the children think of themselves as learners. e.g. also 'If you dream it, you can do it' 'Have you exercised your brain today ?' etc. The website www.alite.co.uk has more examples too.
