AnonyMouse_3307
Although it is the holidays lots of younger children will still be accessing EYFS provision .... as someone with riots at the end of my road (fortunately I was away) it struck me that ths is quite a scary event forchildren in the areas affected. life is not quite as normal. Anyone been dealing with this or considering what they might need to be talking about when children return? AnonyMouse_1999
Sorry you have had no replies Catma I am not in one of the areas affected but nonetheless the whole 'riot issue' may come up in child initiated conversation due to the huge media coverage and no doubt overhearing adult conversations! Sorry I have no words of wisdom to offer but guess I would just answer questions that may arise- not alot of help I am afraid!

SueFinanceManager
Must have been a difficult judgement call.....if you stayed open and things got close then how would your parents get to you through the rioting crowds. However as so many working parents rely on the settings staying open you wouldn't want to close unnecessarily. Tough being a manager in these settings.....thanks for the link Maz, interesting read.
